Frequently asked questions

Are public holidays excluded?

No. Holiday calendars differ by country, state, and even industry, so the tool removes weekends only. Subtract the holidays that apply to you.

Why does five business days often mean seven calendar days?

Because any span crossing a weekend picks up two extra calendar days. A five-business-day window starting on Wednesday ends on the following Wednesday.

Does the start date count as day one?

No. Business-day counting conventionally begins the day after the trigger event, so an order placed Monday with three-day shipping is due Thursday.

What about countries with a different weekend?

The tool assumes a Saturday and Sunday weekend. Regions using Friday and Saturday will need the count adjusted accordingly.
